Doug DetwilerDoug grew up in the electrical construction business with his father who ran Miller
Electric Company for 40 years. He was running back hoes, laying underground duct banks and doing all sorts of things helping his father on weekends.

After graduating from West York Area High School in 1981, Doug went to Columbus Ohio for a computer tech class which rolled into a 5 year apprenticeship at York Vo Tech with Miller Electric Company. He started running major projects for Miller Electric as a 3rd year apprentice. He project managed schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, and special systems such as Fire Alarm, sound, nurse call and CCTV.

In 2003, Doug worked for Ascom Electric to start up the Carlisle Division which consisted of developing customers, estimating and building the work force.

In February 2008, He started DeRock Electric Company with his business partner Rock Forry. They have been good friends for more than 20 years.

Doug is a member of the IEC, Independent Electrical Contractors, where he is on the Instructor Review Committee for the IEC HACC campus. He also is the current IEC treasurer.

When he is not working in his business, he is spending time with his wife and son, in an and around the community.  He loves the diversity that Carlisle has to offer and enjoys, boating, ski racing, mountain biking, motorcycle riding and fishing.
