Vice PresidentRock graduated from Spring Grove Area School District, and started in the electrical trade right out of school in 1991. He began work with Miller Electric as an apprentice. Rock attended the York Vo-Tech adult education class, where he did his apprenticeship.

In 1996 Rock was running jobs as a foreman for Miller Electric Company, when he met his current business partner Doug Detwiler. Doug and his father Joseph Detwiler became good friends and mentors to Rock. Still to this day, Rock credits his learning to Doug and his father. He says that he learned from the best in the industry.

In 2005 Rock switched to Ascom Electric to partner with Doug in getting the Carlisle Division of Ascom started. He worked on several different motor control jobs as well as hospitals, schools, nurse calls and several large commercial buildings. He also was a lead foreman in assigning men to their jobs and running projects.

In 2008 he left Ascom and joined with Doug to start their own adventure as owners of DeRock Electric Co.

In Rock’s spare time he likes to go to his family’s camp, ride ATV’s, fish and spend time with his wife and two children.
